Foxglove Pattern ((( I know you want one! ))))

The lovely Lauren Dahl selected me to pattern-test her newest pattern the Foxglove!
I know!! Right?? I was SOOOOO excited too:)

Anyhow I have to tell you it is just lovely and looks just as beautiful inside out as it does the right way! So if your having one of those days (and I know you know what I mean) and leave the house with it inside out--it will be A-OK! Her instructions for finishing your garment are fantastic and very thorough. I can appreciate a pattern designer who doesn't just give you a excellent pattern but tries to help elevate your sewing level at the same time. Teaching you a new technique that maybe you did not have before you started and can continue using on your next project, that's a win in my book!

I sewed this foxglove up in a crepe chiffon that I got at JoAnn's from the red tag section. This pattern is a light flowing tank with a high/low hem and a slight v-neck.

I liked the pattern so much that I also sewed one in a vintage swiss dot fabric I've been HOARDING for a long time. I know you have one of those fabrics, the one you hold on to until you find the just right pattern that you know you will wear the heck out of the said hoarded fabric.

This pattern and that fabric were made to be together --don't cha think??

This version I did with the clean finish inside and the center front and back seam. I also went down a size because I did not want it as full.

How pretty is that seam?? See what I mean about being okay to wear inside out!

Did I convince you that you need a foxglove (or three) in your life?

It's availiable for pre-sale from Lauren Dahl on selvagedesigns.com.
